About Deshaatan
4 questions
Most travel websites focus on selling, and most travel blogs focus on information. Deshaatan brings both together. We want you to understand a destination and what a trip will realistically cost before you spend money on it. When you're ready to book, you can speak with a specialist who knows the destination, not just a sales executive.
Deshaatan is owned and operated by Aurven Travel Commerce India Private Limited, with its registered office in Sector 63, Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
No. Our destination guides, itineraries and planning information are free to use. We hope they help you plan a better trip, whether or not you book with us.
Planning Your Trip
5 questions
Yes, that's exactly where we like to start. Tell us who's travelling, when, for how long, your departure city and your approximate budget, and our specialists can suggest destinations that suit you and explain the differences between them.
A specialist is a Deshaatan team member who focuses on particular destinations or types of travel, such as family holidays, honeymoons, pilgrimages or international trips. They help you choose the right destination, plan your itinerary, select hotels and customise the trip.
No. Costs in our guides, itineraries and planning tools are estimates to help you plan. Actual prices depend on your travel dates, hotel category, group size, season and availability. Your final price is the one shown in your confirmed quotation.
Our AI-assisted planning tools, where available, give you suggestions and estimates to help you plan. They do not create a booking or a confirmed price. If you like a plan, a Deshaatan specialist can review it, check availability and prepare a proper quotation for you.
For most domestic holidays, we recommend planning at least [4–6] weeks ahead, and [2–3] months ahead for international trips, peak seasons, long weekends and festivals, when hotels fill up quickly and prices rise. Last-minute trips are often possible, but you may have fewer choices.
Packages and Customisation
6 questions
It depends on the package. Most include accommodation, transfers or transport, sightseeing and selected meals or experiences. Every quotation clearly lists what is included and what is not, so please read the inclusions and exclusions before you pay.
Yes. You can change hotels, add or remove days, change the travel sequence, add activities or adjust the itinerary to your pace. Your specialist will share the revised itinerary and price before anything is confirmed.
Unless your quotation says otherwise, things like flights or trains, entry tickets, personal expenses, tips, travel insurance, and charges payable directly at hotels or destinations are not included. Anything not listed as included in your confirmed quotation should be treated as excluded.
Yes. Your quotation will name the hotels proposed for your stay. In rare cases, if a confirmed hotel becomes unavailable, we will try to arrange a comparable alternative and inform you.
Vehicles are usually confirmed by category (for example, sedan, SUV or tempo traveller) rather than a specific model or registration number. Your quotation will mention the vehicle category.
Yes. Please tell us about any mobility needs, medical conditions, dietary requirements or accessibility needs before booking, so we can recommend suitable hotels, itineraries and transport.
Prices and Payments
7 questions
No. Before you pay, your quotation or checkout page will show the total price, what it includes, what it excludes, and any charges you may need to pay directly at the destination. We will not add undisclosed mandatory charges later.
Your quotation will clearly state whether the price includes applicable GST and other taxes.
Hotel tariffs, transport charges and other supplier rates can change until a booking is confirmed. If the price changes before you pay, we will share the revised quotation with you first. Once your booking is confirmed, the confirmed price applies.
Available payment options will be shown in your quotation or at checkout. Payments are processed through secure third-party payment gateways or banks. [Add your actual payment options here, for example UPI, debit/credit cards, net banking or bank transfer.]
It depends on the booking. Some trips require full payment in advance, while others allow payment in instalments. Your quotation will show the payment schedule.
Your booking is confirmed only after the required payment has been received and we have sent you a Booking Confirmation.
Card and banking details are processed directly by our payment partners. Deshaatan does not store your complete card credentials. Please never share your card number, CVV, OTP or banking passwords with anyone over phone, chat or email, including someone claiming to be from Deshaatan.
Cancellations, Changes and Refunds
8 questions
Yes. Cancellation charges depend on the cancellation terms shown in your quotation or Booking Confirmation, and on how close to your travel date you cancel. You can read the full details in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Write to care@deshaatan.com from the email address used for the booking, or contact your specialist in writing, with your Booking ID and lead traveller's name. We will share a written breakdown of cancellation charges and your refundable amount.
Usually yes, subject to availability and supplier rules. A date change often costs less than a full cancellation. Any additional charges will be shared with you before the change is confirmed.
Some components, such as flight or train tickets, non-refundable hotel rates, peak-season or festive bookings, permits and entry tickets, may not be refundable. These will be identified in your quotation before you pay.
Refunds are processed according to the timeline stated in your Booking Confirmation or cancellation terms. If a refund depends on a hotel or other supplier, we will initiate it once we receive the amount and keep you informed if there's a delay. After we initiate a refund, your bank or payment provider may take a few additional working days to credit it.
Refunds are made to the original payment method used for the booking.
We will inform you as soon as possible and offer you a comparable alternative, new dates, or a refund for the affected service.
We will work with our travel partners to help you reschedule, find alternatives, or recover as much of your money as possible. Refunds in such cases depend on what suppliers return, and we will share a clear breakdown with you.
Before and During Your Trip
6 questions
Carry valid government-issued photo ID for all travellers, and for international trips, a valid passport and any required visa. Some destinations also require permits. Your specialist will tell you about any special requirements for your destination.
Where included in your booking, we can assist with permit or visa processes. Final approval always rests with the relevant government authority.
We strongly recommend it. Good travel insurance can protect you against trip cancellation, medical emergencies, lost baggage and delays. Insurance is not included in our packages unless stated in your quotation.
Your Booking Confirmation will include a contact number for help during your trip. Please tell us as soon as an issue comes up, so we can try to fix it while you are still travelling rather than after you return.
Contact us immediately during the trip. Many problems can be solved on the spot, such as a room change or a vehicle replacement. If you still have a complaint after your trip, email us with your Booking ID, details of the issue and any photos or receipts.
We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within one month.
Reviews and Your Data
4 questions
Yes. Reviews come from real travellers. We do not publish fake reviews, we do not remove reviews just because they are negative, and any review given in exchange for a benefit will be clearly marked.
No. We do not sell, rent or pass on your enquiry to other agents or companies for leads. Your details are shared only with the hotels, transport providers and other partners needed to deliver the trip you booked.
