5. PERSONALISATION AND AI-ASSISTED PLANNING
If you use our recommendation tools, trip planner, itinerary builder or AI-assisted travel features, we may process information you provide, such as your destination interests, budget, travel dates, departure city, group composition and preferences, to generate suggestions relevant to your trip.
AI-generated suggestions are intended to assist travel planning and may occasionally be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate. Important travel information should be verified before booking, and you may request assistance from a Deshaatan specialist.
Conversations and information submitted through AI-assisted features may be retained where reasonably necessary to:
provide and maintain the feature;
preserve your trip-planning context;
allow a Deshaatan specialist to continue assisting you without requiring you to repeat information;
improve the quality, safety and performance of Deshaatan's planning experience;
investigate misuse or technical problems; and
comply with applicable legal obligations.
Deshaatan may use third-party technology or AI service providers to support these features. Where such providers process personal data on our behalf, we will seek to use appropriate contractual, technical and organisational safeguards consistent with applicable law.
You should avoid entering unnecessary sensitive personal information, passwords, complete payment-card details or identity-document information into an AI chat or planning field unless Deshaatan specifically requests that information through an appropriate process for a legitimate travel purpose.
Where we use your previous enquiries, bookings or stated preferences to personalise recommendations, such use will be carried out in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
You may contact us at care@deshaatan.com regarding the personal information associated with your AI-assisted interactions or to exercise rights available to you under applicable law.
6. CONSENT AND CHOICE
Where consent is required under applicable law, we will seek clear consent before processing personal data for the relevant purpose.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time by writing to care@deshaatan.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully carried out before the withdrawal.
Certain information is necessary to fulfil a Booking. If that information is not provided, we may be unable to provide the requested travel service.
7. TRAVEL PARTNERS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS
To fulfil your travel arrangements, we may share relevant information with hotels, homestays, tour operators, destination management companies, transport operators, drivers, activity providers, local guides, insurance providers where selected, payment processors, technology providers and other suppliers involved in your requested service.
Only information reasonably required for the relevant purpose is shared.
Independent Travel Partners may process information according to their own legal obligations and privacy practices.
8. OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES IN WHICH INFORMATION MAY BE SHARED
With technology and business service providers supporting cloud hosting, email, customer support, analytics, security, accounting, CRM systems and payment processing, who process information on our behalf.
With AI and technology service providers: where Deshaatan uses third-party artificial-intelligence, automation, cloud or software providers to operate Planning Tools or other Platform functionality, only information reasonably necessary for the relevant function will be made available to such providers, subject to appropriate arrangements and applicable law. Deshaatan will not intentionally provide complete payment-card credentials to an AI service provider for travel-planning purposes.
With authorities where required by applicable law, court order, lawful government request or regulatory obligation.
In business transactions: if Aurven Travel Commerce India Private Limited undergoes a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing or transfer of business assets, relevant information may be transferred subject to applicable law and appropriate protections.
9. WE DO NOT SELL YOUR DATA OR YOUR ENQUIRY
Deshaatan does not sell personal information to third parties.
Deshaatan does not sell, rent or pass your enquiry details to other travel agents or companies for lead generation. Your enquiry is handled by Deshaatan and shared only with Travel Partners needed to fulfil a service you have requested.

11. ANALYTICS
Deshaatan may use analytics tools to understand visitor behaviour and Platform performance. Analytics providers may process device information, usage events and technical identifiers according to their applicable terms and privacy practices.
12. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
Where legally permitted, Deshaatan may send information about destinations, travel guides, packages, offers, new services and other travel-related content.
Marketing communications will provide an easy method to unsubscribe. Opting out of marketing will not stop essential transactional communications about an active enquiry or Booking.
13. WHATSAPP, SMS AND PHONE COMMUNICATIONS
Where you provide your mobile number and use our enquiry or booking services, we may contact you through channels reasonably necessary to respond to your request or administer your Booking.
Promotional communications will be handled in accordance with applicable telecommunications and privacy requirements.

15. INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING AND TRAVEL
Travel bookings frequently involve providers located outside India. Where you request international travel, personal information reasonably necessary to fulfil the Booking may be shared with foreign hotels, destination partners, transportation providers or other overseas recipients.
We will handle such transfers in accordance with applicable Indian law. Different countries may have different data protection standards.
16. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or for another purpose permitted by applicable law.
Relevant considerations may include the period necessary to:

manage cancellations, refunds, complaints and disputes;
prevent fraud or misuse;
establish, exercise or defend legal claims; and
comply with applicable legal or regulatory obligations.
Different categories of personal information may therefore have different retention periods.
Where applicable law requires deletion after the relevant purpose has been completed or consent has been withdrawn, we will act in accordance with those requirements, subject to any lawful basis or legal obligation requiring continued retention.
When personal information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete, anonymise or otherwise securely dispose of it.
17. INFORMATION SECURITY AND DATA BREACHES
Deshaatan uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including access controls, authentication, secure hosting, encrypted communications where appropriate, system monitoring, restricted internal access, backups and security procedures.
No internet transmission or electronic storage method is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
If a personal data breach occurs, Deshaatan will take reasonable containment and remediation measures and will notify affected individuals and the competent authority where required by applicable law.
18. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on the law applicable at the relevant time and the provisions then in force, you may have rights in relation to your personal data.
These may include the right to:
request information about personal data being processed about you;
request correction of inaccurate personal data;
request completion or updating of incomplete or outdated personal data;
request erasure of personal data where the law permits or requires it;
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
raise a grievance regarding our handling of your personal data;
nominate another individual to exercise applicable rights in circumstances recognised by law; and
exercise any other rights available under applicable data-protection law from time to time.
Certain rights may become available only when the relevant statutory provisions come into force.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We may also retain information where continued retention is required or permitted by law, notwithstanding an erasure request.
To exercise an applicable privacy right or raise a privacy grievance, contact:
Email: care@deshaatan.com
We will handle requests within the timelines prescribed by applicable law.
19. CHILDREN'S PERSONAL DATA
Deshaatan does not permit a minor to independently enter into a travel-booking contract.
A parent, legal guardian or other authorised adult may provide information relating to a child where reasonably necessary to plan or arrange family travel.
Where applicable data-protection law requires parental or guardian consent, age verification, additional safeguards or other conditions before children's personal data may be processed, Deshaatan will implement those requirements when applicable.
Deshaatan does not use children's personal data for targeted advertising or behavioural monitoring directed at children.
Information relating to a child will be used only for legitimate purposes associated with the requested service or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.
20. ACCURACY OF YOUR INFORMATION
You are responsible for ensuring that information supplied to Deshaatan is accurate. Please notify us if information relevant to an active Booking needs to be corrected. Incorrect traveller information may result in booking problems or supplier charges.
21. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND SOCIAL MEDIA
Our Platform may link to hotel websites, tourist attractions, government websites, social networks, payment providers or other independent websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policies.
Interactions with Deshaatan through social-media platforms may also involve processing by the relevant social-media provider.
